I haven’t used this lamp for an extended period of time so Im not able to review the longevity - I’ll just hope it lasts! This was easy to put together and from the time I unboxed it took about 30 leisurely minutes so I would say it was easy to assemble. I sat down the entire time! This has a rolled up lamp shade but other than the dark line at the top and bottom of the shade and the seam, it is not obvious from a distance.
