This is a nice loft bed set and while slightly more expensive than other sets it is worth the money. This set has the best layout in my opinion for under the bed and that alone is worth the extra cost. It took me about 3.5 hours to fully assemble by myself moving at a relaxed pace. The parts and instructions are labeled fairly well with one extra of each screw. I have not anchored it to the wall yet but it is very sturdy even being on carpet. The quality of this bed is very sturdy but man…the build was intense. It look my husband and I 12 hours to get this thing built, although we did have to take off the ceiling fan and install a flush light during this time. This was a big pain to install! Took about 7-8 hours with about 3 of us (we had 2 kids help us so we count them as half each because they were in and out with their "help" lol). Between making sure the bars didnt turn on you and only tightening at 70% but at the end having to find all 100 of the screws to tightening them.... it was a lot. Also I know the sides come with a warning, but please please remember the low ceilings when you have the bed frame up. Adults hits their heads 3 times each before we got the memo. Ouch! However, when all was said and done, my daughter was very happy. The bed edge makes me nervous for sleep purposes, but going to look into possibly a thinner mattress. Maybe even a bed rail of sorts. The bottom loft is very roomy. Has a lot of table space and even the drawers have a lot of room to them. I didn't realize they were cloth drawers, but they are nice and fit a lot. Assembly wasn't to difficult, but did take about 4 hours to put it together by myself. Hardest part was getting the bed slats that go under the mattress to line up with both sides of the frame to go into the holes, but once you figure it out it's smooth sailing. Overall, very solid and sturdy. Stairs are a nice touch over a ladder and the little shelf cubbies make a good place for small stuff. The space underneath is a perfect fit for a 78" couch. My son has a small room and is 4 years old, I got the queen size for his single mattress. I built this within 4 hours by myself, and built it mostly on top of his old bed until lifting it. I am a strong single mom in her 40s that still moves couches out of basements by herself - dont do what I did, just know that it is possible.
