Like some of the other reviews mentioned, it does take some time, but I chose to build it in sections over two days, which made the process very manageable. I was able to assemble almost the entire bed myself. My husband only had to help me carry the bookcase sections upstairs because of their size. For the price, I think this bed is an excellent value. It completely changed the look and feel of my daughters room and gives her a fun, cozy setup that she genuinely enjoys. We bought 2. They were a long assembly. They are nice though. Seem to be good quality. The drawers hold quite a bit and there’s plenty of open storage behind the drawers. Very sturdy bed with nice craftsmanship/materials. Paint was fine for the grey. Drawers are made of nice thick material. Not the cheap cardboard backing. The bed comes with 10 cross beams to support the mattress, but I added a few more from the bed I replaced. Didn't really need it, but just made a sturdy bed that much more. Be sure to add a drop of wood glue to the wood inserts, really helps over the long haul. Assembly too about 3-4 hours. I have to admit I am very impressed. I thought it was going to be some lightweight MDF but it is much more solid than I expected! The instructions could be a bit clearer but they were easy enough to follow along. I took one star out because I think it’s a bit more yellow in real life than in the picture. I did the bookshelf part with my husband but realistically I could’ve done it all by myself, as long as you have enough space and don’t need to lift the pieces once they’re assembled. This bed is really nice with lots of shelving on one side, a desk at the foot of the bed and a storage drawer. I ordered a full size bed in white which is a true white color. This bed is huge when completely assembled so double check measurements in your room and allow for room to open the storage drawer that is located under the mattress section and is the length of the mattress section. I am happy with this bed, now that it is assembled but I am not sure I would order it again. This bed frame comes in many pieces with even more screws and difficult instructions. Lastly, do not order the professional assembly that Wayfair contracts with Angi. I had a terrible experience with the assigned Angi Professional that came to our home but Wayfair made things right, which I appreciate.
