I just finished assembly. It took me way too long but I got it done! It looks beautiful. You do have to be careful with some of the screws in the manufactured wood but the finished product is solid. I do think the back panels should be the same manufactured wood as the rest. The very thin nails to secure part of the cardboard panels are difficult to hold let alone nail in. I really love that this does not look like your typical shoe storage cabinet/shelf. It works perfectly for my shoe collection. You could definitely use this for other items too. I’ve put lots of pieces of furniture together so it wasn’t really difficult for me but I do feel someone that hasn’t could have some difficulty with some of the steps. The instructions were okay but not too detailed for beginner assemblers. Good quality materials that I feel should hold up pretty well for years to come. Love the style and color, works perfectly..
