We’ve actually purchased this bed frame twice this year! We first bought the queen size for ourselves and were very happy with it. A couple of months later, we decided to upgrade to a king-size bed, so we gave the queen frame to our son and purchased the exact same bed frame again in king size. We love the quality. It’s made from solid wood, feels sturdy and well-made. It works with our new 16-inch-high mattress and adjustable base, although the headboard does look a little short with such a tall mattress and base. The bed is really pretty, sturdy, solid wood, but it’s a few things that prevent me from giving 5 stars. No instructions, took some time to find them online. The headfootboardsside rails don’t perfectly line up, which bothers the perfectionist in me. Not enough screws included to screw in both sides of each slat, had to do every other. Pleased with my purchase. The queen size bed frame and headboard came in excellent condition. The construction appears solid. Assembly took less than 30 minutes. However, if you arent very familiar with furniture assembly instructions, you may struggle a little as none of the pieces were labeled with the numbers used in the instructions. The bed went together fairly easily, even with one person! For a few of the steps, I had it leaning on the wall with a blanket for extra protection, but the pieces went together smoothly with little extra effort. The most time consuming part was simply attaching the bed slats, which was quick with a drill. Was looking for a basic, attractive platform bed for a new king size mattress we purchased. This fit the bill perfectly. Pretty straightforward to assemble, though I did use my cordless driver with a hex bit to speed things up. But the included allen wrench worked fine. Pay attention to where the washers go so you don't have to reassemble things more than once! It is solid wood, very sturdy. The look of the bed frame itself is great, and the color of the headboard fabric and the frame's wood, appeared true to the photos in the listing. The bed gets a slight hit due to the time and work to put it together. For a one person job it took about 4 hours to put together, and much of that comes from the need to drill all the holes for the slats, as you'll be drilling in to the bed frame itself, and you'll want to predrill those holes (and make sure you don't over drill as it's very possible to break through the bottom and expose the sharp bottom end of the screw. The tolerances around some of the screws and holes that are predrilled are also very tight, and getting the plastic washers on isn't the easiest. So make sure to have a power drill, appropriate drill bits, and a Phillips head bit, or else this bed could take you upwards of 5 to 6 hours to put together.. Richard. Jersey City, NJ.
