Desk is very lovely. Paid extra for assembly and that was fine as well. Issue, desk came in damaged. Very visible crack on top of the desk and is now sharp to the touch. Very disappointing. In the process of seeing what can be done since the desk has been assembled and was extremely heavy. Was delivered in five separate boxes. The adjustable height is very nice and works well. Love this desk! One of the gears does not line up super square, and there was plenty of casting sand attached to the legs. One small ding in the front of the desk top, but not a big deal to me. Others have commented that the desk does not move up & down readily. It makes me wonder if they put any grease on the worm gear. Be generous with the grease. Desk works great! I did not tighten the wood handle super tight, so it rotates in my hand when I lower the desk. I also skip it when raising the desk top. Instead I use the wheel, like on a large valve or a ships hatch. Not as convenient as mashing a button, but it goes with the style. Plenty of room for double 24” montiors. They didn't show up until 4pm that day. Third - the instructions are clearly from outside this country...which isn't a big deal as long as they are clear and accurate...they were neither. Mislabelled parts in the manual, one entire instruction manual for the desk wasn't included (or was never made) and then there were several steps where I realized "I should have been told to do this 5 steps ago". I love this desk! It is solid, very well made, and extremely stable when raised to the standing position. All of the parts arrived as expected, and everything was packaged well. Be prepared though, this is a very heavy delivery. The instructions were clear, easy to read, and straightforward to follow. Assembly was the most challenging part of the process because there are a lot of individual pieces. I felt that some components could have been preassembled at the factory, which would have saved time. That said, if you're patient and take your time, the end result is absolutely worth it.
