It’s hardly noticeable and the trouble to return. It wouldn’t be worth it therefore, we decided to keep it and cover up the damage with bedding. This bed was very easy to build. I built it by myself with maybe an hour a little bit more than an hour. The instructions will clear on how to use all the materials that they packed into the back of the headboard. The only thing that wasn’t clear was where to put the slats when you were adding that in but again you can use your best judgment of where to add in the screws. Pleased with my purchase. The queen size bed frame and headboard came in excellent condition. The construction appears solid. Assembly took less than 30 minutes. However, if you arent very familiar with furniture assembly instructions, you may struggle a little as none of the pieces were labeled with the numbers used in the instructions. I love the bed, I have no complaints the quality is really nice. I was able to carry and assemble this without assistance so if you wanted to assemble on your own it is possible. This bed did not need a box spring, but I did add one for extra height. The pictures with the white bedding is how it looks without a box spring and the one with stripes is how the bed looks with a box spring. This queen platform bed frame is okay for the money spent. The color was exactly as pictured, which I appreciated. It’s not solid wood. It’s MDF with a wood laminate overlay and it definitely doesn’t have a high-end look. There are a lot of pieces to assemble, and not all of them aligned perfectly.
