I live in a little ornate Victorian here in Eureka, CA, Zone 9b. So I was surprised to find this wonderful Victorian birdhouse on Wayfair. I'm 78 and arthritic, so I'll have to find a nice young helper to put it up on a tall post, but it will spotlight the historic nature of Old Town and its detailed Victorian architecture. My house and garden will be on Eureka Heritage Society's Annual Home and Garden Tour in June of 2027, and my recent Wayfair purchases will draw folks to the back corner bird sanctuary designed by Wayfair sellers of birdhouses, birdbaths, bird feeders, wind chimes, and weather vanes. What a fun project!. Anonymous. Eureka, CA. Thu Sep 24 2026

I have been watching this birdhouse on several sites, waiting for it to go on sale. When Wayfair had it for 25% off, I finally ordered it. The delivery took over 6 weeks, but it was worth the wait. The bird house is beautiful and looks exactly as pictured. It is quite large and will make the perfect addition to my outdoor space. House a host of purple Martin families with the S&K Purple Martin House. Sturdy plastic pieces snap together with plastic screws to form this two-story green, tan, and white house. This dwelling features slip-resistant floors, convenient landing, and take-off rails on each floor, and swing-up doors for easy cleaning. Each of the twelve rooms measures a comfortable 6" x 6" x 6" for the nesting Martin families, but if you'd like larger compartments and fewer families, you can easily adjust the inner compartments to 6" x 6" x 12" in order to create six nesting sites. Ventilated door panels provide maximum comfort, and the crescent-shaped starling-resistant entrances deter pest birds looking to usurp your rightful Martin tenants. For even more versatility, plug the crescent holes and punch out the round entry hole on each apartment. Overhangs, gutters, and rails also help protect martins and their eggs. Mount this home high on the S&K Telescoping Aluminum Pole or use the S&K Pole Adapter to mount it on an existing 1.25" diameter round pole (not included).
