Had it up for a couple of months, the piñon jays really like the feeder. I did secure the cord with plastic cord lock fasteners from the hardware store. Wasn’t sure if I could trust a knot. The base seems very sturdy.. Anonymous. Houston, TX. Fri Jan 30 2026

This traditional log cabin hopper style feeder is made from reclaimed natural cedar and can hold over 10 lbs. of bird seed. The Bird in Hand Valley Forge Hopper Bird Feeder gets its name from the encampment of George Washington's continental army during the winter. A section from the back wall can be removed to enable the piece to clean and maintain the piece. There is a collar on the base to attach to a post.

Love this- was a gift for my husband as a log cabin bird feeder we had succumbed to a bear. This feeder is a work of art! It is amazing, so beautiful we actually have it inside yet in our timber frame home and will decorate it with lights for the holidays… then build a telescoping post for it. It is definitely a part of our landscaping plans for the spring. Well built and beautiful!. Loretta. Wed Nov 17 2021

Instantly improve your yard's appeal by installing the Newport Post from Paradise Birdhouses. The post can accommodate any of our four-sided, six-sided, and eight-sided birdhouses and feeders. It can also be used with other houses or feeders with the true 4” base collars. The Newport Post is a smooth white post constructed with heavy-duty PVC for long-lasting timeless charm. Features decorative trim and a 5-1/4” x 5-1/4” collard base. The post is 86” tall and you can install the post directly into the ground.
