No damage when shipped. A few pieces were missing their labels so I had to figure out what number peice it was. Wasn't that hard. I put together a lot of things and this took me about 5hrs ALONE. I had zero issues putting it together but I took my time and made sure all the pieces were facing the right way. The directions were easy to follow for the most part but NOT for someone who has little to no experience. So far quality is what I expected. Nice desk. Went with grey color and like it. Very heavy box and material. Material feels like it is made from that plastic that picnic or school tables are made with. Wood grain look is nicerealistic. I don’t think it will scratch easily. Because there are two configuration options it is quite confusing, mainly the drawer part, but holes lined up just fine. Excellent storage space and very sturdy!!! I am very happy with my new desk. I really needed a desk that would fit in a corner, but have ample space since I deal with a lot of paperwork. This really does the job. The assembly was not terrible at all. It did take me a couple of hours (with breaks), but it was straightforward. I do recommend having someone close by because the large pieces are tricky to lift and move around due to their size. Once it’s together, it is a solid piece- very sturdy. Also, it’s very sophisticated looking. The wood grain with the black surfaces compliment each other perfectly. My goal was to create a true office space in an extra bedroom I happen to have- but I wanted it to be more serious looking- and this is a great start to my vision. Love this desk! I’m always a bit nervous about what the end quality will be but this did not disappoint. It is a very sturdy little desk. It’s perfect in the corner and is just the right size for what I was looking for. (I always recommend you get out the tape measure and check your measurements before purchase so you’re not surprised.) The color is beautiful. I absolutely love this desk. Obviously at this price, it is not going to be solid wood. It’s made of particle board in China but it looks so much nicer. Some pieces were a little dinged on the edges, but none of that shows once it’s built. I have it next to a high quality dresser in my bedroom and it fits right in. I love that the top lifts to a standing desk when needed. My husband assembled it on his own and knocked it out pretty quickly. He’s an angel. I would not have enjoyed the process, but he found it very easy. Wayfair shipped it quickly. The only major annoyance is that they used FedEx and my FedEx driver is too lazy to take it out of the truck to deliver it. My Ring camera caught him on two consecutive days coming to my door to take a picture of my empty porch. He didn’t knock or ring and I got notified that delivery was attempted but no one was home.
