It was easy to assemble with 2 people. You almost need 2 people once is starts to be mostly together. That pressed wood can be heavy. It has that cheap backing but it all fit together well. We were able to adjust the doors so they closed nicely and then to get the seam between the doors to be small and straight. It took almost 2 hours. The good: - Wood quality and appearance - Matches the descriptions - Beefy packaging ensured very few damages (I guess they read the other comments) The bad: - Difficult to assemble: this is not for inexperienced assemblers. The instructions are rudimentary and you must use all clues in the drawings to correctly build this. Took me 4 hours of focused work, and that was not including unpacking and staging. - Two parts (15 and 16) had their label markers inverted, which was actually a fairly big problem and cost me 20 minutes. Third one of these that I have purchased. I found them easy to assemble, and they have a sturdy structure - love that they are solid wood (except for the backing). Have stained all with Minwax wood finish oil-based ‘Colonial Maple’ Semi-transparent interior stain. They look great ! Though the boxes had encountered some bumps and bruises, the contents within each of my shipments remained safe from harm - I would attribute that to the solid packaging. I was very hesitant to purchase this. For me, this is an expensive item. But I have to say right up front - it was worth it! First things first, you may need the jaws of life to open the packaging. It was that well packed. I’ve literally never seen flat packed furniture so well packed in my life. So there shouldn’t be any worry about it arriving damaged. Second, they said “solid wood” and they meant it. There’s not one piece of mdf in this thing. Literally the only thing I could complain about is the choice of pulls. I don’t like them. But that’s just my taste. There is nothing wrong with them. And they are so easy to replace. At the end of the day, would I buy this again? Yes. Without hesitation. The armoire is sturdy and a heavy piece of furniture. We had two to four people assembling it depending upon what steps we were on. (Four of us were needed to place the top onto the bottom safely.) The directions booklet that came with the boxes was correct, however, the scan link had the wrong numbers on pieces as did the printed out (from the email link) directions sheet. We have assembled many things previously so we were able to figure it out after much thought and discussion. In addition, four letter M screws’ heads snapped off as we screwed the hinges onto the doors. We could not get the screws out with that part gone to use the replacement screws. The quality of those screws needs to be evaluated. The doors are heavy and this can cause major support issues. The labeling of the parts was a plus and including a bag with labeled extra parts was great! We are pleased with the end result. It was something we needed and will work nicely for our family..
