Pretty sturdy piece! I combined it with the corner shelving unit and rearranged the rods & shelves to fit my closet. It is definitely solid and I like that the pieces don't really dent or scratch. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve put together my fair share of furniture, and this set is no different. Nothing new or novel. Once it’s built, it does stand apart from the more economically engineered furniture pieces I’ve had. Nothing flexing and some clean baseboards lining the top and bottom. The drawers also have a satisfying push click to open action which is very nice. My only gripe is the back board of the piece is still the weak 16th inch thick board, it would be nice to see something more robust. Installed in a couple of hours, but Closet Maid includes a bracket that is supposed to make installation easier. It doesn't. Holes are not 16 inches apart so you will either use mollies or drill holes in the bracket. We threw it away. Now, for the good stuff. The adjustable shelving was perfectly easy to customize for what we had to store and if things change, so can the shelving. The shelves are a lot more sturdy than I thought they would be and they hold a lot more than I thought they would. It has really helped me organize all of my shoes and bags/purses in my closet. The only downside is that the bars at the top are very flimsy and it didnt come with the rod to be able to hang things on. I had to purchase that separately.
