This review is just for aesthetics as I can’t speak to longevity. I think the lamp looks exactly as pictured. The wood-look metal and shade can fit a few different types of styles. My home has more of a bohemian mid century decor, and this fits fine. My only complaints are that the shade has a strange smell and because it’s so dark, this lamp doesn’t omit a ton of light. You get a lot of light from the top of the shade, but you don’t get a ton of light from the bottom. I like how when it’s lit, you don’t get light peaking through the weaving of the rattan. I use a smart bulb and adjust the lighting and still find it to be a little dark, so if you are trying to get more light in your room, you may want to find a lamp with a white shade or a cone shape to cast the light downward.. Very bohemian! But this lamp could totally match mid-century or farmhouse aesthetics as well. The wicker shade is definitely handmade because the weaving isn’t absolutely perfect, but that actually makes it look higher quality, expensive, and gives character! The top of the wicker shade is eye level with someone who’s about 5’7ish, so it isn’t very tall. It’s perfect next to a chair or sofa! This wouldn’t work as a stand alone lamp for an open space without some type of seating due to the height curve in the base. I don’t have the most even floors, but it’s sturdy and I’ve had zero issues with it tilting or falling over for any reason. It’s also light weight enough to pick up move around if needed.
