It single handily was my sous-chef for prepping and making Thanksgiving dinner, along with many other meals. Its multiple settings include slow cook like a standard crock pot, sauté/sear which I found myself using mostly, rice cooker, sous vide, meal timer/manual function which is also helpful. I’ve made couscous, rice and multiple chicken dinners, seared veggies, made stock and kept my mashed potatoes warm while I finished Thanksgiving dinner. This machine has a lot of power and functionality while looking quite professional and high end. My only complaint is the size/weight of it, with all that power and functions come parts to hoist and overall it’s a bit large for simply keeping out on my counter so I keep it tucked away. Without having proper space for this machine I can see it being hard to keep around, luckily I have the room. I was in the market for a new stock pot and came across Hestan. I was not familiar with the brand, but I liked what I read. I bought the ProBond Luxe 6 quart stock pot and am extremely pleased with my purchase. The even heating, sturdy construction, and beautiful finish make me look forward to cooking. Whatever you make in it turns out beautifully and cleaning is effortless. I have spent money on other "premium" brands, but have not been as pleased as I am with Hestan and plan to gradually replace my other cookware with Hestan. Some folks may be harder of hearing than others. • Storage drawer is large enough to store unused oven racks as well as (separately acquired) broiler pans. • Warming center (a great feature) on cooktop passed the melted butter test (i.e. keeping butter in melted but not over-heated state) • Instead of two large burners in the front, the cooktop would be much more useful if one of the burners in the front could allow the user to select either a larger burner circumference or a smaller one. Sometimes, a smaller burner is the only one needed. (Tea for two, for example.) • Oven door projects into the room a bit more than I expected, but is not obtrusive for my galley kitchen. • The oven shuts off when the timer reaches the set time. I love my Nanobond 3.5qt essential pan; it cooks like a dream. That said, I think even this size pan would’ve benefited from a helper handle.
