This is a very nice multi-level cat tree. However, I gave it 4 stars because I wish it were more stable without having to be connected to the wall. It has a very wide square base so I’m not longer worried about it tipping however, when my cat gets to the very top basket and is moving around it appears to shake quite a bit - enough to make me a little nervous. Well Packaged! Material is soft. Black sisal rope doesn’t seem to be able to fray like traditional sisal rope. We’ll see how long it takes for the cats to tear it up. Condo walls are ribbed and let a little light through, which is nice. Tower feels solid, well built. Screw in connections are solid as well. Tightening these screws down as much as possible (by hand), helps to ensure nothing wiggles. Retightened everything once it was fully assembled, just to be sure it’s sturdy. Our cat loves to throw herself at off of towers with such ferocity, they have to be stable. This one is definitely that. Pushing screws through the fabric holes 1st, made it a little bit easier to make the connections. We didn’t assemble the top bed, as this would have put our curious kitty a bit too close to her nemesis… The ceiling fan. It’s about 5 feet tall without the top bed. I thought it was nearly perfect in the design but I think one of the attributes is not ideal. The hammock in the middle is kinda low to the platform below it, making it kinda difficult for the cat the get from the platform to the left of the hammock to the next one, slightly higher on the right. I wish the hammock was a board or higher up. Other than that, it’s really good. My friend and me built it in under an hour. I got it because it’s just about 18” below the tops of my kitchen cabinets. So she can climb the tower then traverse the cabinet tops. I have been thinking about removing the hammock and replacing it with a board. We shall see.
