This distressed finish is very durable and easy to touch up.

We were looking for something with more of a vertical footprint to make space in our bedroom and this was just right, size-wise. It looks great too, and it's nice to have real wood. Assembly took quite a bit of time, especially since there weren't predrilled holes for a lot of the screws, but it all came together. As others noted, it's good to be aware that the back panel is unfinished, so this dresser must be set up against a wall (which is necessary for safety anyway, with a secure fastener included). Side pilasters, bracket feet and a thick top provide architectural elements. Drawers have dovetail construction for durability and glide on metal ball bearing side guides. There are felt bottoms in the top drawers, and cedar in the bottom ones. Antique pewter finished hardware adds the perfect complement.

This is a very nice dresser. There was an issue or two with the wood pieces, theres damage on the left side of the chest and one of the drawer fronts had damage on a corner.
