So far so good. Install was relatively easy, but because of its size, having a few extra folks to help hold it in place would be a good idea. My wife and I managed, but it was a bit tricky for just us 2 folks to install and we almost gave up. The gesture control seems a bit finicky, and we can't get it to work reliably. Maybe with time we'll figure it out. The buttons work fine though, and the remote control is a nice touch. The stainless-steel finish, display, and led lights look great. Definitely an upgrade from the Broan powerpack it replaced. As far as noise, it seems to be as loud as our old Broan PM350 we replaced. The grates tend to vibrate a little, so that with the fan contributes to the noise. I was hoping for something quieter, but it's no worse than the unit it replaced, so not a deal breaker. As for airflow, it seems a bit stronger than the broan unit it replaced, which was rate for only 350cfm. This one is rated at 900cfm at max speed, but i don't have a way to measure/confirm that. The fan cage seems bigger, and it's been doing a good job so far of keeping the smells/vapors out of the kitchen while cooking. The insert hood unit and the blower unit are shipped in two packages. The blower unit should be installed above the ceiling in the attic. The hood insert improves ventilation and lighting over your stove. Built with high-quality 1mm thick stainless steel with brush finishing. Perfect for 36” kitchen ranges that fit snugly into the wood hood. The blower unit is mounted in the attic. with a 6” round top exhaust vent (no rear vent). Caution: Please check your existing venting duct before purchasing, there are rectangle or round ducts of different sizes. Ducts are not included. Sloped view blue highlighted electronic buttons with 2 of 3w energy saving cold bright LED lights. 1 motor in the blower unit. It’s a great hood. It’s attractive and suits my new kitchen. It does what I want it to do, which is to take cooking odors out of the house. My workers will finish the installation next week. My only concern is that it is a bit too loud. Update: Yes, it is very loud. We joke about take off and landing. Because we have an open floorpan we eat near our cooking area and we need to turn off the fan before any conversation can take place. One of the lights burned out very quickly. Had a hard time finding a fan the size I wanted but this was it! I wanted a larger size and most were not long enough for my 36" stove width I wanted a good 4" on each end. It looks great. Bit loud on low speed but think it's bcs it's so long. I don't mind. And it does a fantastic job of sucking up garlic or onion smells! Love the sleek look, baffles easy to remove and wash.
