24x24 Aquarium Stand

I’m 72 and put this together myself. The instructions didn’t always match the picture guide, but I did get it together. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is from the very first screws I inserted there was some of the cabinet that flaked up. But once the screw was in place it wasn’t noticeable. It seems very sturdy. I have cement floors and had to add sliding pads to make it level. The back metal poles have a place to screw something in but nothing was included? This is a pretty basic aquarium stand. It resembles garage shelving with its industrial look. But it's sturdy and can take quite a bit of weight. I maybe reviewing a little early but I just assembled the stand yesterday and it went fine. Stand was fairly easy to setup, took me about 1.5 hours since I confused the screws but all was okay! I bought this stand for a new 40-gallon tank that I am setting up. This aquarium stand was shipped and delivered on time with no damage. Assembling it was a bit of a challenge because the top was slightly bowed. It took a rubber mallet and 200lbs of weight to get it lined up so I could screw it down. The openings in the back panel aren't really useful for my purposes. The designers only considered tanks with hang off back (HOB) filters. If you are using a canister filter that resides in the cabinet below the tank, you will either have to leave the back panel off or get creative with a saw. I got creative with a saw and cut a hole in the back big enough to easily accommodate the filter's output/return hoses and provide easy access for maintenance. This stand seems sturdy enough to support the 450lb+ weight of a filled 40-gal tank. It's not what I'd call high quality or high-end decorator, but so far it suits my tastes just fine.. Nicole. This stand is perfect for my 20-gallon aquarium tank. I love the look and it was easy to assemble (about an hour); except for the door and hinges. Need two people to figure that out and to assemble. Note: you will need to adjust the screws in the hinges until the door is how you like it. The Instructions could be better…just use your common sense. I’ve assembled a number of cabinets, etc., but if it’s your first time assembling a product…could be a bit challenging to understand the directions. This is fine as a shelf...and could possibly hold a 10 gallon tank. I ordered it for a 20 gallon tank, tried to cancel once I realized that the capacity for the top shelf was only 110 lb! A filled 20 gallon tank weighs between 200 to 245 pounds completely full with water, gravel, and basic gear. The seller refused to cancel the order. Buyer beware!
