I spent quite some time looking to purchase an aquarium stand or cabinet for a very special custom built aquarium that I inherited from a friend. Many styles and quite the range of prices- into the thousands ! Nothing quite hit the marks either in style or design or weight capacity until I found this one. It’s heavy and will take you some time to assemble.They recommend 2 people- which I don’t have - however, I managed to move the heavy box- I estimate 100 pounds- inside by myself. The directions were long - over 10 pages- but were actually very organized and understandable- shocking!! Working alone and meticulously I was able to complete the assembly - assembly took me roughly 6 hours - building at a leisurely pace- making sure to follow the steps exactly. The stand is a beast - it’s over built with metal supports and legs- overkill amount of bolts holding it together and solid panels framing it all. Rating it at a 1500lb capacity is probably accurate. I’m 72 and put this together myself. The instructions didn’t always match the picture guide, but I did get it together. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is from the very first screws I inserted there was some of the cabinet that flaked up. But once the screw was in place it wasn’t noticeable. It seems very sturdy. I have cement floors and had to add sliding pads to make it level. The back metal poles have a place to screw something in but nothing was included?
