I have a stray cat that has decided to live on my property but he doesn’t want to be an indoor cat. I like that it’s raised and one of the entrances has a hood. But the flaps for the openings are very thin and flimsy. The top zips on but it was very confusing to figure out where to start. Also the directions were horrible. They were printed in black and white and very blurry as if the printer or copier was running out of toner. I managed to figure it out. I just love this little shelter. It's very sturdy and looks like it will hold up well over time. My older female curled up in it the minute I got it put together. :) It was relatively easy to put together, but I did have to use a rubber mallet to gently move the sliding pieces together. I was happy to see that it has feet that keep the base up off the ground. I plan to use it during rainy Fall, Winter, and Spring in my outdoor "Catio". I subtracted one star because I will have to modify it a little to make it rain-proof. I may be wrong, but I'm afraid that rain will accumulate in the gutters across the top and (maybe) leak water inside. Also, it needs some sort of overhang to keep rain from getting in the very large entry hole. No problems that some thin plywood and vinyl sheeting won't fix! My cats loved this tunnel right away and they continue to enjoy it. For size reference, one cat is 10 lbs. and the other is 7 lbs., and both like go into the tunnel when they want to chase each other through it. My smaller cat also likes it just for hanging out, and she looks very cozy when she's in it. The outside is covered in super soft fabric, and the inside is crinkled plastic, but it doesn't make loud crinkly noises, thank goodness! My cats ignore the hanging pom poms, but they are cute. To put the tunnel away, it's very easy to just collapse it and then secure it with the orange hook-and-loop straps. It's very lightweight. This is a nice, very fuzzy and soft cat bed. My cat approves! For size reference, she's tiny (about 7lbs) but it would fit a larger cat easily. I bought this bed on a whim and I'm so glad that I did it is as cute as it looks in the pictures. As soon as I put it down after I had just taken it from the package my cat climbed right in. Was initially very upset with the appearance. Number one reason was that it looked like a very large wobbly blob. Also, my cat had totally ignored it until after my initial critique. There is a photograph of the area where there is an opening that missed being sewn. Update, I walked into my living room and it suddenly looked pretty like the photo and my kitty was happy and curled up deep inside. Now that she has claimed it the shape is holding.
