Unfortunately there was a problem with this item. I can truthfully saw it could not have been done during transport. The item was packed so securely/tightly that this had to be defective when it was packaged. There were 6 pieces of glued form disks, the barrel was covered in a soft sheer paper. Upon review of the barrel, I saw 1 dents. One dent is a long line, but the other is much worse. It's 3 inches away from the first dent, but this is actually so large, it's much more noticeable. It is "indented", not just a small dent. I did get this item on a reduced priced clearance, but I did not expect it to be damaged. I did not see any paperwork inside the barrel or box to fill out if I wanted to return it. I'm not too experienced in technology and have no item of how I could send a picture over my laptop for you to see. I'm a senior and the thought of having to go onto your site and try to follow the procedures needed for "returns" sounds too complex. Had I found paperwork in the box, I may have tried to reseal the box and return it. I have ordered several items at the same time, but I haven't noticed any issues with those items so far as I can tell. This is a very obvious bit of damage and I think it came that way when it was packaged. It should have been noticed, because I saw it right away. I do like the item and although I am very disappointed that it was sent in this damaged condition, I decided to just keep it and not have to research how to go about a "return" on your website. I was not even going to mention it, but although I will just keep it, I thought that maybe I should let you know. I believe it is good to give you this information so that perhaps you can make the manufacturer aware of damaged items being ordered from them that are not properly checked. Item #MEKEA2202. As I said, I will keep it to avoid any extra work on my part. Without an included return form, it will take research on you website for addresses, etc. I already put the box out for recycling today. I received this item yesterday 12/28/25, so my account should show all my recent purchases. If this item were not damaged, I would recommend it, because it is really a nice metal barrel and the wooden lid is very attractive and seems well made.
