Kingston's carrara marble tops are polished, but they are not sealed. Polished marble has a shiny surface and resists stains. Natural stone, even when polished, is still somewhat porous and does remain susceptible to etching by acidic compounds like fruit juice, vinegar, some cleaning solvents, etc. For customers that wish to further protect their investment the marble can be sealed. I was amazed that Wayfair gave me this beautiful vanity top at no cost after the original marble top that was part of my vanity set was damaged in shipping. My Doris vanity set was assembled and installed this week and I love it.
