While the white ceramic top may be durable, it's fussy, and water, as well as other minor household chemicals, leave liquid spots that must be wiped away almost immediately (the photo doesn't pick up the liquid spots). For that reason, I gave it one star less. However, a wet or dry microfiber cloth can moisten the liquid spots and wipe them away. This is a beautiful vanity. The drawers are solid and the pullout rails are smooth. As someone pointed out, the counter top does come flush to the cabinet edge but think it looks nice.
