Received the GE 65gallon water heater with flexcapacity today (240v model). I did the installation by myself however the GE water heater is heavy. Luckily i got some help from my friend to set the water heater heater in place. The GE water heater is a little noisy when the heatpump kicks in (hopefully i did not get the malfunction one) i will observ the noise for a couple of days.. Anonymous. Fri Jul 17 2026

50-gallon - 120V - Smart Hybrid Heat Pump Water Heater with FlexCapacity

This performs exactly as well as my previous water heater, but with vastly increased efficiency. Given that I had to replace the water heater anyway, the added cost for the heat pump over the standard electric 120v will pay for itself in less than a year, and I will have it for at least another decade. It is MUCH taller than a standard water heater and requires room above it and around it to operate the heat pump. Also, the GE app is clunky (at best). It is not letting me set up a schedule to conserve even more energy, so I'll just have to make do with way more efficient instead of extra-way more efficient.. Nuri. Omaha, NE. Wed Apr 29 2026

Shopped around for a replacement water heater. A lot of brands I'd not heard of. I was also surprised that many had warranties for 2-5 years. After researching and trying to find a better brand with greater longevity, I learned that Wayfair sold water heaters and they carried GE. I found the GE model I was looking with a 12 year warranty and ordered it. Excellent communication, reasonable shipping time frame (our old water heater was still limping along, so we were ok to wait but I ordered on the 15th and it arrived by the 22nd!) and shipping was free. We were able to remove the old water heater and install the new one without much trouble. I've ordered furniture and other household items in the past and have always been pleased.. Anonymous. The electric water heater is safe to use because of many protection functions that can protect you from the risk of burns, electrical leaks, or other injuries. The water is quickly heated to eliminate the long wait because of the 1500W power, which is more time-saving. It is suitable for washing dishes, vegetables, clothes, face, etc. It is used in kitchens, wet bars, schools, hospitals, hair salons, boats, etc.

I bought the 80 gallon without the mixing valve to save a bit of money. I have a family of four adults and two children as well as a tenant so five adults in total in approximately 2000 sq ft of home. Three bathrooms one dishwasher which we frequently use and a washing machine. I also have a recirculating pump that turns on in the morning so the kids don’t have to wait for warm water. Other than when we first filled it I have only ever used eco mode and have never had to switch to another mode to recover. I thought about whether I needed the mixing valve so I could heat the water hotter and have even more capacity but the mixing valve would not have been compatible with my recirculation setup according to my plumber and it makes sense as the heater would then be constantly heating cold water for no reason. So far that extra capacity the mixing valve buys has not been necessary. I switched from a gas water heater to electric because I have solar and there was an incentive program. My gas billed was halved in the winter time and in spring and summer is nonexistent. Electricity consumption is so low it barely makes a change at least when I monitor consumption in the solar app. So I totally buy the super high efficiency ratings. Water comes out as hot as desired. The app is a bit buggy and the WiFi connectivity is just okay. The heater is about 60 feet away from my WiFi with one door and it disconnects a lot. Seeing consumption on the app is nice but not always possible with the WiFi connectivity. I suppose people who need to change the modes more frequently would use the other features but I have just always been on eco. Noise is supposed to be one of the lowest there is. I personally was not expecting to hear anything but perhaps as a result of how it was installed with bracing it vibrates other structures which amplify the noise? I can definitely hear a low drone in my garage. It’s not bothersome and fades to background eventually. But I would definitely caution anybody who has to put their heater in living spaces to insulate that mechanical room well. Once my garage door is closed I can barely hear it but it was a bit more than I expected.. Jonnnn. California. Mon May 18 2026

It looks to be better quality than I expected when I ordered this. It came early and that made me happy. It looks very easy to hook up. We are putting in water in the next week or so and are very much looking forward to adding this under the sink for hot water for dishes. I will write more once we have it hooked up. This is still working perfectly! 2-6-2020 We got this hot water heater up and running. Finally Hot and cold running water in our cabin!!! This little water heater is wonderful. I keep it down on lowest setting most of the time as I like a lower power bill. When I want to do my dishes or need to use more water, I hike it up and get the water really hot. Then I can add cold water and I have enough to do my dishes and then some! I turn it back down to the lowest setting after and I have warm water to wash my hands and such. Perfect heater for under sink! Easy to use. Pretty easy to install. The perfect sized heater for easy install and only need for sink you use for everything in the cabin. I had to kick this up to 5 stars because it is just what I needed to get my hot water in the cabin! Makes life so much easier in the country. This hot water heater does heat up 4 gallons of water that you can heat up to the max and add cold water so you have hot water for the entire load of dishes. Oh I am glad I got this one! Perfect for our 200 sq foot cabin! 6-7-2022 This is still working perfectly!!!. Kathie. Bowling Green, KY. Tue Jun 07 2022
