These barstools are exactly the aesthetic design I was trying to achieve. They fit perfectly under my custom island. The seats are comfortable and fit a varying size of people. For the little kids, I don’t think they will fall backwards quite as easily as the lighter weight stools we are replacing. Also, the legs are metal and made to look like a bamboo-type wood. I think, in the long run, this will help to keep them from stripping at the screws and prevent them from scuffing, hopefully getting us longer use than the wood-legged stools they are replacing. My one ding in the rating is assembly. It is not a one person job (we needed three people I couple of times). You have to have someone really squeeze the legs in to match up the screw holes while another person does the tightening. If you can swing the professional assembly, do it.
