While it's a great sofa bed for a smaller space (mine rests at the foot of my bed in a studio apartment), its material is not very supportive in either form, folded or unfolded. In fact, when it's unfolded, it's hard not to find yourself sitting/laying on some uncomfortable connecting piece at the bottom. This couch is exactly what I’d hoped for! It is the perfect size for my home office and the hideaway bed allows me to have an extra guest room when the need arises. It is firm, but comfortable to sit on. The mattress is decent as these kinds of beds go. I think I’ll add a foam pad for more comfort.
