These are great chairs for the asking price. And I'm very happy with my purchase. However, I've assembled lots of pre-engineered rubberwood furniture before and I thought the assembly for these chairs was non-trivial. The back and legs go together fine (although the angled placement of the hex-head screws is tedious). I used a T25 Torx driver to at least get them finger tight before pulling out the hex wrench. But the seat itself wasn't aligned (or pre-drilled) and had to be clamped down before I could flip it over to secure it with the provided screws. Not a show-stopper but buyer beware. The chairs themselves are beautiful however, assembly does not match the instructions, which is actually a big problem unless youre willing to find a creative solution. The instructions say to put four screws in to attach the seat to the base, but there are no screw holes in either the seat or the base for this to take place. There are two holes at the bottom of the seat but I dont know what these are for since they are at an angle and do not line up with the base parts. You would need to drill the holes yourself, or do what we did which was to attach the seat to the base with adhesive Command strips (but these make that velcro sound each time you sit down or get up). Otherwise, the seat will just sit on the base loosely if you dont find some other way to secure it. Additionally, one of our chair seats came chipped off and we had to order a replacement. We like the look of the chairs so are willing to keep them, but it was disappointing that the assembly was not true to the instructions and that there is no easy way to secure the seat down.. Tirza. Beautiful and elegant dining chairs online and even more beautiful in person! Love that they can be customized to suit your style or needs. The seat cushion and backing are soft velvet feel and legs sparkle especially in the sunlight. First chair was a lot easier to assemble but the second one wasn’t lining up well so there was a big gap in the back base so not sure how sturdy it will be. Eventually over time and lots of strength and force, I was able to close the gap but it’s definitely not as aligned as the other chair.
