The headboard is cushioned with foam and upholstered in soft fabric to provide supportive comfort while sitting up to read. I really enjoy the simple look of this bed; however it took me 2 returns to get the appropriate parts. Silly me, the boxes come as King 2, and Queen 1. Nothing on the box says to use "Queen 1" box for the King box 1 and no one in customer service could explain this to me either. The bed looks great now that I finally get it!. Susan. Centerville, MA. Few critiques. 1. The bed in the image appears to be a solid white with a hint of wood grain if you look closely. However, the actual material is a yellow pine with a low-quality white wash finish. All the wood grain and knots are completely visible, and the color is more of a yellow/ tan tint. 2. The MDF balusters or posts also have a deep wood grain texture. Not very appealing. Would look nicer if it had a smooth finish 3. The number of planks supporting the beds has a minimum spacing of 7.5" between. Typical higher quality beds have a 4" spacing. This has the potential to damage the mattress. Also, no pilot holes for any of the screws, with no way to plug them up. 4. Nothing comes pre-built. Not a deal breaker but certainly inconvenient. 5. Too many exposed fasteners. Overall, the bed works, but doesn't hit the mark. Honestly, still thrown off by the texturing on the posts.. David. Florida. Mon Sep 14 2026
