These stools are nicer in person. I was hesitant about the limed grey oak. In the picture, the limed stools look very distressed and antiqued but they are just right. They are light enough to move without effort but made well enough to hold up to everyday use. I do hope the seats hold up for a long time. They look great with my newly updated kitchen. They are the perfect "counter height". I am very happy with my purchase so far. They were much more than I wanted to pay for counter stools and I do hope they will last and be worth the price.. I wanted something adjustable to use at my vanity counter in the master bath and this seemed perfect. I knocked one star off because the feet on it are just open tubes that are, of course, metal. There's no way to put any floor protecting pads on the bottoms of the feet. I'm afraid of the metal scratching my dark tile floors so I had to put in on a small area rug.
