The drawers will extend with the platform and can be accessed when the bed is closed or extended.
I took a couple days to put it together. The wood is solid and it’s heavy duty. I ended up purchasing an Allen wrench drill bit so that way it was easier to put together then just using the Allen wrenches provided. You also need a screwdriver which is not provided.
