A solid bench option - works great for our space. Easy assembly and it was clear and quick. However, we could tell there were some imperfections on the benches and they were just touched up with some kind of wood putty, no touch up putty was provided but it would have been nice to have. These are for a second home, which we rent sometimes, so we are keeping them. The outside holes for the screws also don’t have any kind of cover which would have been nice. Overall, a good option.. Rebecca. New York, NY. Fri Jul 17 2026

Bring the warmth of history to your everyday gatherings. Crafted from reclaimed elm sourced from old homes and villages in northern China, this dining table gives storied wood a new purpose. Elm has been part of Chinese homes for centuries, used in beams, tables, and everyday furniture. Its distinctive grain, rich tones, and time-worn markings bring that heritage into modern living. Hand-forged metal legs feature a hammered texture and a gold finish, creating an elegant contrast with the natural character of the wood. The spacious rectangular tabletop offers a welcoming setting for family meals, conversation, and special occasions.

This bench is so beautiful! It looks classic but the hammered gold legs and detailing add something interesting without being over the top. It is heavy and sturdy, but slides easily without scuffing. I particularly love the gold rectangles on the top that mirror the legs. It is comfortable to sit on and overall a great purchase.. Anna. Wed Sep 23 2026

great value, the only feedback is that some of the leg joints are “sloppy” not as tight as could be, and the rattan seat is fairly loosely wrapped, but for the cost it is really good value.. Dan. Northville, MI. Thu Aug 06 2026

The Linden Collection pairs a pared-back silhouette with the unmistakable character of solid reclaimed elm, allowing the natural beauty of the material to take the lead. Prized in fine furniture for its strength, toughness, and distinctive interlocking grain, elm is a dense hardwood well suited to pieces designed for everyday use. Reclaimed timber preserves the knots, tonal variation, grain patterns, and subtle imperfections developed over the wood's previous life, making each bench naturally individual. A softly weathered finish complements the simple plank seat and gently splayed legs, giving the Linden a relaxed, understated character that works easily at a dining table, in an entryway, or at the foot of a bed. The result is a versatile bench whose straightforward construction places the quality, texture, and enduring character of the wood front and center.

If I could give this purchase a negative I would. Do not buy this bench. It was sent wrapped in bubble wrap. One layer of bubble wrap. It’s filthy, and continues to drop rotting wood on the floor also unusable bc it will get on clothing if you brush past it. It has marker on it and doesn’t come off. It’s uneven and doesn’t sit straight in the floor. Cracks are irreparable and poorly made. And the most frustrating part is it damaged, and wayfair wants me to go buy new bubble wrap and wrap it up to return it. There’s hunks of square pieces of wood that actually can be picked up and removed from the bench, like a puzzle piece. Customer service was lousy with helping to resolve the problem. Nothing but a headache for a bench I was really looking forward to having. Get it somewhere else. I asked to have a replacement bench sent and they said no! I have videos of the bench literally coming apart. Do nothing buy this.. Pauline. Reading, PA. Wed May 25 2022

"Take a seat" translates in every language, and this antique bench works in every setting. A "found" object, this is crafted from a wide variety of woods and varies widely in length.

The description indicated this bench was 83 wide. When we received it one leg was 2 inches shorter than the rest and it was only 60 in wide..the description was not correct and it is a handmade item out of reclaimed wood that will vary in size. So if you need a specific size I wouldn't consider this at all. Laura. Friendswood Texas, TX. Tue Mar 24 2015

A truly unique Asian accent. This Shinto bench is hand-crafted by artisans in the Guangdong province of mainland China and inspired by Chinese craftsmanship of the 18th Century. Hand-finished in a rich, clear lacquer, this lavish bench will add that subtle hint of Asian flair that your home's been desiring!

What a HUGE disappointment! The table arrived badly damaged and was not the design advertised in the picture. I waited months for this table to be back in stock and ordered it immediately when an email was sent telling me I could now purchase. When contacting support, I was told the table that I had ordered was not available and that the manufacturer must have changed the design and not notified Wayfair. The black lacquer painting is sloppy and this piece is not worth the $500 I paid. Wayfair has agreed to refund my money but now I'm stuck with the chore of having to deal with the return and timely correspondence with Wayfair and I have ZERO extra time to deal with this. What a HUGE inconvenience. I am going to recontact customer support and request that they have someone professionally pack this because it came in packing that was so inadequate and I don't want the responsibility of it arriving to them in even worse share. Also going to request an RMA and prepaid shipping as this was not brought up when I was told I could return it for a refund. We'll see how they treat me and that will determine whether I will remain a Wayfair customer.. Mary. United States. Sun Sep 22 2013
