Other reviews mentioned the smell on initial opening of the item. They were not kidding - I had to put it outside for a full day before the odor dissipated, and the box that it came in stunk up our shed until it could be disposed of. It reminded me of damp horse blankets, or goats when they get wet. Aside from that, once the smell was gone, the item is a solid piece of furniture. It is rustic and fits well in a cabin-type of setting.. Heidi. Holden, ME. Tue Aug 11 2026

The flip-top design keeps clutter out of sight, while the solid wood legs add warmth and stability to any room. Perfect at the end of a bed, in an entryway, or as extra seating in the living room.

This is a nice looking bench. All that had to be done to assemble was to screw in the legs…..SO easy. The fabric is a boucle with a nubby texture. The gray color is very pretty. The lid doesn’t open all the way up which could be an issue if you have something larger to put in it. But for the most part, it’s perfect for blanket storage etc. The lid does stay open when the hinges are locked making it easy to grab things from inside. I think this bench is a pretty good purchase!. Sue. Hartland, WI. Wed Aug 05 2026

It's pretty and doesn't feel wobbly. It says 100 pound weight capacity but it holds an adult weight over 200 since it's used to take a seat and put shoes on. Functional, nice color, and modern look. It only fits one pair by each side, so it's good only for the shoes of the day, not as regular storage, which is what I was looking for. I'm happy with my purchase.. Anonymous. Rochester, NY. The item is nice looking, but for how expensive it is, I thought the quality would be better. I give zero stars for the customer service experience with purchasing this item. The price dropped significantly the day after I bought it, but they would not allow me to cancel the order and purchase a new one for the lower price. They told me I would have to wait for the item to be delivered and then ship it back to return it and purchase another one. Absolutely ridiculous.
