I did not purchase this to use as a desk. I needed a corner vanity and did not want to spend a lot of money. This was perfect for the budget and worked out great! The directions were very straightforward and easy to follow with the exception of the final step of placing the top shelving to the bottom base. The two sections in the corner as I show in the picture want to separate. This requires two people. I assembled this by myself and it took several hours. It is a great piece of furniture for a gaming desk or to use as a vanity. The light strip is a straight continuous wire and does not have an L shape to allow for the corner and sticks out. This desk went beyond what I expected. There was a small issue with the sliding part upon arrival, but I managed to fix it easily using needle nose pliers. It also doesn't look obviously like a desk, which is nice for places where you want a desk when you need a desk, but not all the time. Assembly instructions were pretty bad. If you have not assembled a lot of furniture with tracks and drawers, this will be a real challenge. You have to take the inner part of the drawer track out to assemble the drawers and the sliding part of the desk.
