The design never leaves out some of the Artless basics like 2" solid Walnut and complete comfort in the leather top. Artless X Stools come in three sizes yet operate under the same design principle. The X1 stool is 18" tall, the X2 counter height stool is 26", and finally the X3 is bar height at 30". The base is an 18" by 18" solid Walnut X. In profile, we can see a triangle rise up, and if viewed from the top we see the geometric circle of the seat.

This stool is the acronym for “After Robert Smithson”. This stool has been heavily influenced by the artist and thinker Robert Smithson. We have not tried to formalize a single Smithson concept, but rather have been inspired by his writing and work.

Artless ARS Counter and Bar Stools are as the name suggests an elongated version of the ARS Stool plus the addition of a footrest. Comfort and aesthetics, we can’t decide. The ARS line did not start here but we really like the results of this remarkable variation. The seat top is available in any Artless leather as well as Walnut and White Oak.
