I love this little table and chairs! It was really easy to put together and it’s very sturdy. Only 2 issues during install: #1 they sent 7 wooden plugs fur the chairs instead of 8 and apparently you need to buy wood glue to put them in, which is no biggie, I can pick up an extra at the hardware store. #2 there were no guide marks on the bottom of the table to show where to attach the brackets. This dining set is a gentle softness.

We had a very difficult time getting the 2 table top halves to separate to reveal the leaf. It turns out, the manufacturer physically **drilled screws** into the bottom of the table closed and there was nothing in the instructions telling us this detail. These "remove" block pieces blend in with the rest of the wood on the bottom of the table. They did stamp "remove," on them but again, these blocks blend into the table and unless you know to look for them, they can easily be missed. The bottom also has some interior damage I'm assuming from transit but it's hidden so I guess not a big deal aesthetic wise, but for integrity, time will tell. After several phone calls and finally getting connected with the right representative, Wayfair made it right by sending out replacement parts. Once everything was corrected, the table turned out great, and we are now completely happy with the purchase. Our advice to anyone dealing with return or replacement issues—skip the online AI chat and call the 800 number directly. It made all the difference in getting the situation resolved quickly and properly. This set is beautiful, a perfect size for my space. It is as pictured. The cherry finish is not overly “ red”. Matches my cabinetry very well. Solid feeling set, chain/ gears for the expansion leaf. There was a small nick in table edge, should cover easily. There was a scratch , maybe just in the varnish, of the pedestal base, won’t easily be seen. This table is beyond my expectations! The quality is outstanding so I feel that I received all the value and more for the money I spent. My husband and I were able to put it together with no problems. All chairs and the table are solid and very sturdy. The chairs seats are definitely brown. I read on a review that they were a bit pinky, but I don’t see that. The packaging was excellent and there are no unexpected marks on any of the pieces. I would highly recommend this table.. Debbie.
