One thing buyers should know is that the wood color has noticeably more red in it than I expected from the online photos. If you’re trying to coordinate it with other walnut furniture, I would keep that undertone in mind. The nightstand is beautiful and very substantial. Definitely not a lightweight piece of furniture. Seems to be very well-made, and although I was nervous about the drawers not fitting flush as I’d seen in an earlier review, my nightstand appears to be very well-made, drawers are flush with the front and they operate very smoothly. I liked this nightstand. The finish is smooth, I like the color. The open shelf and 2 drawers is perfect for display and storage. The drawers are difficult to pull out (pulls on the entire nightstand), but the drawers are soft close. The difficulty in pulling out the drawers is the reason for the 4 stars (instead of 5).
