I was very pleasantly surprised by this chair -- I've been searching for a comfortable desk chair made of something less ugly than mesh, and while I would've loved real leather, this chair was much more budget-friendly and it's really quite nice. It's larger (in a good way!) and more comfy than I expected, it took less than 10 minutes to assemble, and it doesn't smell like plastic or chemicals. The wheels move smoothly on a hardwood floor and don't leave marks. The back is supportive but also well-cushioned. I do a lot of focused desk work (sometimes don't get up for 3-4 hours) and this chair makes it easier. I'll be keeping this until my business is successful enough to upgrade to a chair made of fancy Italian leather (this is not happening any time soon, which means the chair will be with me for a long time).. In our house, we’ve been through about a dozen different office chairs (thanks to working from home and teenagers who sit in theirs for both homework and gaming). We’ve tried a number of different brands of office and gaming chairs at different price points. And unfortunately, we were disappointed in this chair for the price. The chair looked nice, had a comfortable but breathable mesh seat, and claimed to have all the features we tend to look for: adjustable seat height, arm height, headrest, and lumbar support. The foot rest looked like a nice bonus. But once we put the chair together, we found we could not make the seat height or lumbar support adjust. It isn’t clear whether the hydraulic switches were malfunctioning, but if so, the manufacturer may be able to provide support or a replacement and fix the issue. The headrest only moved a small amount to adjust it, and this was not controlled by the same switches. It was also very tough to move up and down to the right height. The footrest was also difficult to pull out to use. The star-shaped base was plastic and came with some scuffs on it. I loved that the chair came with a good assembly manual. This is a nice chair that is comfortable and gets the job done. Most aspects are adjustable like the arms that raise the lumbar support (albeit little support and small adjustable range). It will not blow you away or impress with high quality, but it is not cheap. It lands somewhere in the middle of the quality spectrum. For example the lumbar support (pictured) along with the neck and some other key parts are just plastic and not incredibly sturdy. The base arrived well packed and bubble wrapped but still came with dings scratches (pictured) and the base cover slip is a very cheap ( dirty) piece of plastic that is meant to be permanently placed there per the instructions but appears a bit tacky. However the chair is very sturdy, and the wheels glide very well. The seat is a large base that has plentiful cushion and is a very comfortable seat.
