It is not 100% wool, but 80% wool with 20% Acrylic is just as effective. I use it as part of my bed covering layers. I dress in my normal pajamas without layering on clothes. In a room with a temperature below 40 degrees I am very comfortable with no sweating. Beware that it will scratch your skin just like most 100% wool.
