Every night your body sheds millions of skin flakes and loses up to one liter of body fluid through your skin pores and mouth. Up to 2 million dust mites can live in your unprotected mattress. Dust mites survive on dead skin cells and bodily fluids. Allergic reactions are caused by the waste and skin these dust mites leave behind. Exposure to dust mites has been proven to lead to the development of asthma in young children. Allergens produced by dust mites are the most common trigger for asthmatics. Dust mites have been shown to be a leading cause of eczema.

Love my mattress for the spare room. (Still a work in progress) Super comfy. I chose the medium as the firm I felt would be a little to hard for my granddaughter. The mattress fully “puffed” in about 48 hours. Just remember, all good things come to those who wait, so let the mattress full rise before use. Protect the top and sides of your mattress with the five-sided hypoallergenic waterproof mattress protector. The soft and cozy Tencel jersey blend surface is backed by a special protective layer. This backing features microscopic holes that allow air to move through the fabric while blocking larger molecules like liquids, viruses, bacteria, dust mites, and allergens. Extra-strength bound seams keep liquid out even along the edges. The result is a clean, like-new mattress that lasts.

The quality of the mattress cover is exactly what I expected from the pictures and description on Wayfair's website. This is a good quality mattress cover, it feels like fine cotton but it is magically waterproof. It does not make sleeping hot and uncomfortable and it fits my hybrid mattress well.. Rose. Hobart, IN. Sun Mar 10 2024

Enjoy peace of mind knowing your mattress is protected from liquid spills, urine, dust mites, and allergens. A soiled mattress can result in an unsanitary environment for you and your family and may even ruin your mattress altogether. If liquids are ever spilled onto the mattress, simply remove the protector and place it directly into the washing machine. This mattress cover is also a must-have for those suffering from allergy triggers such as pollen and dust mites. Luna protectors prevent allergy triggers from passing through the membrane material while still allowing the mattress to breathe. Periodically wash the mattress protector, like you would your sheets, and you'll be able to effectively remove allergy-causing triggers that may be resting on the surface of the protector. The mattress cover's ability to breathe extends the life of the mattress and also works to control temperature preventing its protectors from sleeping hot. Fitted sheet style elastic sides are then attached making it a perfect fit for any mattress profile.
