It took me four hours by myself to put together but the instructions were ok and all the hardware was there. Construction of the wood parts was good. It's very solid and I love having the trundle option under the bed. Just remember that you need a thinner mattress for the trundle pull out than for the top bed. Delivery was awesome. I’m an elderly petite woman. My FedEx delivery guy was most helpful bringing the heavy boxes in. When my husband got home we turned on some music and worked on assembling it together. The instructions were precise and it went well. It is well made and sturdy. I went to Marshall’s and found the right color of blue bedding to match. Sorry Wayfair, but I didn’t want to take a chance on ordering on line. I wanted to see the colors before purchasing. There’s so many variations of blue. I’m very pleased with my purchase. I have bought many items from Wayfair and have been overall satisfied. My girlfriend just bought a loveseat and recliner from Wayfair because of my raving of how satisfied I am. She said that during Labor Day weekend she shopped at the local furniture stores and was told delivery would be 2-4 weeks. Mine was 2 days. This bed arrives in four separate packages. One of the boxes is over 80 lb and will require additional assistance to move for average homeowner. The side rails as well as footboard come fully assembled out of the box. The headboard requires the side legs to be attached but this process is very simple. The support rails for the bed are extremely flimsy and using this bed as a trundle will not allow you vertical support to stop the mattress from sagging in the middle over time. Dinged a star for that. The trundle portion comes in its own separate box of the four and requires complete assembly which is very straightforward. Two of the threaded nuts that come pre-installed were missing in the holes allowing me no way to attach screws so I had to get creative as this is something the average homeowner might struggle with. The cracked wood is my fault for not predrilling. As a bonus the side rails of the bed have the mattress supports glued prior to painting and I'm including photos of the lumps of glue which are not a big deal but nice to know that the rails are physically glued as well as screwed. The trundle face came with 2 dents but my kids will do way worse in time. I would recommend this bed as it can be used stand alone, with a trundle, with the rails lowered for easier access, and also used with an existing box spring and metal frame.. Justin. Loxahatchee. Excellent quality, super sturdy and very easy to assemble!!! My boys ages 11 and 9 helped me (their mom) build it in just a few hours! It’s sturdy enough that I am able to lay in the top bunk with my 11yr old and it holds up great, my husband is 300lb and lays on the bottom bunk with our 9yr old with no issues! Very solid! And we love the pull out trundle twin size bed for when they have their cousins or friends over! We currently have our nugget play couch on the trundle rather than a mattress, but will be getting a mattress for it. The only complaint I have is that it came with absolutely no extra hardware incase a piece is broken or gets lost during set up, not a single extra bolt, screw or wooden dowel, but otherwise we are very happy with this purchase!!. This is a beautiful bed! Well made, except for one manufacturing defect. One of the holes for the headboard to connect to the leg post was not drilled.
