So far so good. Install was relatively easy, but because of its size, having a few extra folks to help hold it in place would be a good idea. My wife and I managed, but it was a bit tricky for just us 2 folks to install and we almost gave up. The gesture control seems a bit finicky, and we can't get it to work reliably. Maybe with time we'll figure it out. The buttons work fine though, and the remote control is a nice touch. The stainless-steel finish, display, and led lights look great. Definitely an upgrade from the Broan powerpack it replaced. As far as noise, it seems to be as loud as our old Broan PM350 we replaced. The grates tend to vibrate a little, so that with the fan contributes to the noise. I was hoping for something quieter, but it's no worse than the unit it replaced, so not a deal breaker. As for airflow, it seems a bit stronger than the broan unit it replaced, which was rate for only 350cfm. This one is rated at 900cfm at max speed, but i don't have a way to measure/confirm that. The fan cage seems bigger, and it's been doing a good job so far of keeping the smells/vapors out of the kitchen while cooking. Time will tell if it holds up, but so far, we've been impressed with the build quality. Added the extra warranty just in case.. Tejesh. US. Sat Nov 30 2024

Introducing our innovative Flush Ceiling Range Hood, the Victory Sunset. Meticulously designed to seamlessly integrate into your open-concept kitchens while delivering unparalleled performance and aesthetic elegance. Made in Canada with precision engineering, this range hood redefines the standards of modern kitchen ventilation. With its sleek, minimalist design and matte white finish, the Victory Sunset effortlessly blends into any contemporary kitchen space by installing between ceiling joists so no reframing is necessary. Its powerful 600 CFM blower provides unobtrusive yet powerful ventilation and the bright warm LEDs provide great lighting over your cooktop.

I am very happy with this hood. The quality of build seems solid, installation instructions were very clear, and it I think it looks great. It takes some planning and work to get it installed. You have to make sure your ceiling joists and ductwork is going the right direction or be prepared to do some modifications. I have a soffit and had to take down a bunch of drywall to modify the framing, run the 14/3 romex for the light/fan and modify the ducting. Then I replaced the drywall, taped, texture, paint and installed the hood. Fortunately it all came together nicely. I was able to held the hood in place while my wife drive the screws into the framing. I think it will be worth it in the end because the hood won’t be blocking the view in front of our cooktop.. We ordered 3 and one was the wrong size, unused in box and they wouldn’t return. Quality is good but expensive. Sad that wayfarer’s customer service couldn’t make this happen.. Shane. Ooltewah, TN. Mon Aug 31 2026
