I've had this range hood for over 2 years now and it's worlds ahead of the recirculating option from the over-the-range microwave that I was using. I'm also using the re-circulating option on this device because I live in a condo without access to outside ductwork. It's not perfect but it is much better Some things to keep in mind for the recirculating option (may not apply to the vented): - all 3 fan options are basically the same strength/speed - steam will still occur above since it doesn't vent out - the odor-reduction relies heavily on the charcoal filters that you purchase (3rd party is available). This replaced my microwave unit. This is very sturdy and solid built. The fan is a little noisier than I expected but it does pull quite a bit of air. It was heavy and hard to manage by myself so I had to get help installing. I’m not used to the gesture controls yet but could be a good feature if you have a busy or messy cooking area. I don’t see a screen or filter for grease capture but. Jennifer. Denver, NC. Sun Oct 11 2026
