Glad I found this UC-B018. I bought it over the other makers/name brands for my little studio because it was sturdy, came with both a top and rear venting option, and had a plug so the unit was ready to plug in w/o hiring an electrician. The light is amazing, as you can see in my brief video. Design of the whole unit is sleek. Given how great the first one was, I just ordered a second one for my larger home.. Suzannehummingbird. Great improvement in color & style over previous range hood. Luv the up dated styling. Bottom of cabinet isn't flush so couldn't use easy brackets. Two person install was easy & quick, though. Airflow is strong which explains an expected loud noise level, in high position. Fits great below cabinet. Nice profile. Will be using unducted & want to add charcoal filters for the occasional sautéing & broiler use. The LED lights are bright & make my stove top shine nicely - like showroom quality. Special features on this range hood model include a 680 CFM blower, rocker switch controls, twin turbofans, and filterless technology. Fitted with round and rectangular vents on the top and another rectangular vent on the back to conveniently accommodate almost any kitchen installation.

As a product itself, I actually have no complaints. Looks great, pushes “a lot” of air and has a neat way of dealing with grease. My main complaint is that after nearly 4 months, we still don’t have one to mount as we have now had 3 sent to us all damaged. Spoke with Cyclone directly and they are going to help get one to us undamaged. It appears it may be having to do with Wayfair’s courier of choice.. Sean. Queens Bay, BC. Thu Mar 02 2023

Made in the USA, Summit brings new innovation to small kitchens with the industry's first retractable range hood designed and engineered for recirculating use. Model HRTX18B is an 18" wide range hood in a glossy black powder-coated finish. The retractable design and 4" height create a low profile, minimalist look that seamlessly blends into your kitchen when not in use. For maximum surface coverage, the retractable hood slides out as needed. Two oversized aluminum mesh filters with a carbon layer absorb grease, smoke, and cooking odors. This hood is equipped with two pre-installed LED light bulbs that provide convenient illumination over your cooking surface. Unlike traditional ductless ventilation, our retractable hood is not convertible: it's exclusively designed, constructed, and rigorously tested for ductless applications where there is no access to outside venting. Instead of blocking airflow with a simple baffle, the Summit engineering team has created a quieter, more efficient system with smarter technology. It utilizes a cross-flow fan to rotate horizontally, redirecting air smoothly out of the front louvers set at a slight upwards angle to ensure smoke and odors won't be directed towards the user. This maintains laminar airflow, avoiding back pressure and minimizing the noise found in converted range hoods that use axial fans. Though it operates at a lower CFM, its effective airflow outperforms traditional axial fans with a more efficient, quiet performance. This range hood ships without a power cord and is designed to be hard-wired by a licensed professional. We also offer this unit with a pre-installed power cord and plug (add suffix "PTC"), as well as ADA compliant options with separate controls to be installed according to ADA guidelines. Additional colors and sizes are available, as well as convertible and ducted range hoods. Explore the full collection to find the perfect ventilation system for your kitchen.

This Range Hood is a great value purchase and ships in one box. These hoods are ideal for apartments and designed for ductless operation, with an aluminum/charcoal filter, 2-speed fan, and switchable light.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Okay so I claimed this product bc my sister really needed a vent and we really thought it was going to work over her stove, but unfortunately it didn’t. I’m sure this is a really great vent so I’m gonna try to sell it or give it to someone who can actually use it!. Anonymous. Tue Apr 29 2025
