Amazing range hood! Not easy to install, we actually still were sweating trying to get it secured in with four people involved. The instructions say at least two people, but I would get more people helping! It understandably took us a long time, but it is very sturdy. We have just short of 8 ft ceilings, and wanted it about 30” over the stovetop, so we also had to cut the two covers for the top portion. Get a metal cutting wheel and grinder, it was definitely not a job for someone who doesn’t have experience doing that, but you could cut it a different way if needed. Not necessary to alter like that though for taller ceilings, or lower placements. Installation aside, this range hood works beautifully and is strong even on its lowest setting. The lights are not blinding, and it’s nice having just buttons for control on both sides. Absolutely would recommend, for anyone who has the right help to install! (That probably goes for any island range hood). Sally. Tulsa, OK. Tue Jan 28 2025

Range Hood Specifications: 30"(W) × 23.6"(L) × 22.8"-42.1"(adjustable height). The 30-inch island range hood is usually designed to enhance your cooking experience on the island kitchen counter, providing impeccable ventilation through the adjustable chimney located on the kitchen countertop in the center of the kitchen The painted finish prevents dents and scratches and can be used for a long time in a busy kitchen. Upgraded 700 CFM (11.67 cubic feet per second ) large airflow capacity change air of cooking area (10 cubic feet) every second, give you non odor kitchen. Filter made from aluminum, which have strong oxidation resistance. Quick-remove switch on it help you take it off in 3 second. 4 bright led lamp light up the island kitchen brightly and clearly, no matter which side. Makes your cooking easier.

It was perfect for my island range. The only detail that should be noted is the the covers are welded solid and can not be separated to slip on at the end. This makes the assembly a little more complicated for balance and holding for the final mounting and you have to use both parts so that they can be installed which makes it hang about 2 inches lower.. Backed by reliable warranties, this range hood combines performance, convenience and safety for everyday use.

The description on Wayfair was quite misleading. the description link mentions 30" 900 CFM Externally Vented Island Mount, which to me meant 30 inches wide, but it is actually 36 inches wide, which thankfully works for the limited space i have. Still have to get it installed as we dont have a vent and need a contractor to do the work but excited to get to see what this can do. items in the box look well made and sturdy. will update once installed and running with more information. Installed the RI31-30 Island Hood today. This hood is very well designed and installation was straight-forward with two people. The gentleman helping me install the hood does quite a few commercial kitchens, and his first comment after we started the unit and I showed him the baffle filters was This is a commercial grade unit! Its well built, powerful, and attractive. They really paid attention to the details. The hands-free controls with control panels on each side are also nice features. My unit vents about 8 feet out through a wall, and the louver is ten feet above my deck, but my hair blows around when I stand under it. The suction is strong enough to hold a cardboard box, but the unit is quiet considering how much air its moving.Im very happy with this purchase and recommend it to anyone considering a new range hood. The range hood also has their after-sales service email, which I think is a great assurance. Its a responsible company, and that makes me feel very reassured.. Ying. Jersey City, NJ. Sun Apr 06 2025

Well I have it out of the box the reason for this purchase was I have tall ceilings and I needed a exhaust fan that I didn’t have to figure out how to get additional pieces or have to build down from the ceiling to close the gap. This fan assembly fit that bill it’s also a rental property and so I didn’t want a glass unit even though I have one like that and like it a lot this unit is more “renter friendly” and safe no ones going to break it.. I’ve been really happy with this range hood so far. The stainless steel and curved glass design looks very modern and gives the kitchen a nice updated look. It feels well made and doesn’t look bulky above the stove. The suction is strong and does a great job pulling out smoke, steam, and cooking smells, especially when frying or cooking on multiple burners. I really like having 8 fan speeds because I can keep it low for normal cooking and turn it up when I need more ventilation. The touch controls are responsive and easy to understand, and the gesture control is a nice feature when my hands are messy from cooking. The LED lights are also bright enough to clearly see the entire cooktop at night. Another feature I appreciate is the delay shutoff, so I can leave the fan running for a little while after I’m finished cooking without having to come back and turn it off. We live in a condo so the kitchen doesn't have a ventilation system for the stove. This air recirculating vent system was what we needed. It is unobtrusive, it has multiple speeds and a light, and it comes with a remote control.
