Great improvement in color & style over previous range hood. Luv the up dated styling. Bottom of cabinet isn't flush so couldn't use easy brackets. Two person install was easy & quick, though. Airflow is strong which explains an expected loud noise level, in high position. Fits great below cabinet. Nice profile. Will be using unducted & want to add charcoal filters for the occasional sautéing & broiler use. The LED lights are bright & make my stove top shine nicely - like showroom quality. Purchased MTR2303SS this morning and spent a couple of hours installing it this afternoon. I replaced a 40 year old unit. Space was a little tight and I struggled to get the "EZ" brackets in the right place. Installing a range hood in general is not as easy as it sounds in most cases, particularly if the existing wiring isn't in quite the right place or the ducting is off by a 1/2 inch, etc. Don't forget you need to be ambidextrous and work putting pressure "up" to screw into the underneath of cabinets. In the end, with a couple of breaks, I did manage to get it installed by myself, much of that time was just getting the old one out. I'm sure an experienced person has tricks to get things right, but I did not. I must admit the brackets do help hold things in place, once you get them right (maybe a template would help?). Essentially, you get the brackets installed, then feed the wiring through, then put the securing screws in place. I also ran into trouble where the bottom of the cabinet door was too low so I had to back off the screws and put a shim in to lower the hood 1/4 inch. I'm not a fan of the "beeping" with every button press and with the 2 stage light (which is handy) you have to cycle through both settings to turn it off as there is no direct way. These are the reasons I only gave 4 out of 5. The LED lighting is great and 2 light levels is an improvement over our old unit. The 3 speed fan is great and is an improvement over our old Hi/Low fan (and I don't find it "noisy", its a fan and will make noise). The timer function will be very useful as our old unit didn't have this option.. David777. Ottawa, ON. Mon Jul 21 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was drawn to the Mantra 30"range hood for its sleek stainless steel design and quiet operation. The 490 CFM blower seemed powerful enough for my kitchen setup, and features like SmartSense ventilation and ENERGY STAR certification were definite pluses. The unit looks fantastic-even in the box. The stainless steel finish is modern, clean, and aesthetically appealing. It's clear the design was thoughtfully executed to complement a wide range of kitchen styles. I'm genuinely excited to install it once I'm able to work around my personal installation challenges. Unfortunately, I ran into issues that prevented me from completing the installation by my review deadline. There wasn't enough detailed information available to determine whether this unit would be compatible with my project. I specifically needed a hood that could be installed beneath a microwave, and this model doesn't support that configuration. My star rating is based solely on appearance and the clarity of instructions. I'm only deducting one point due to the inability to comment on its functionality at this time. I'd recommend future buyers confirm compatibility and installation logistics before purchasing. Photo included is of the boxed unit, but I'm looking forward to seeing it in action soon!. Danikas. The durable hood vent is up to 20% more effective at removing pollutants than the leading competitor with power ventilation at 350 Max Blower CFM to capture and remove smoke and odors from the kitchen. The Glacier range hood is also up to 44% quieter: 1.5 sones is equivalent to a refrigerator running, so it won't interfere with daily life. The EZ1 Install System allows for a quick and easy 1-person installation, and the ENERGY STAR Certification is both code compliant and provides cost savings. The 1-Level LED lighting and a 2-Speed hidden rocker controls make cooking a breeze. At Broan-NuTone we believe that better quality of air means better quality of life.

I absolutely love this hood. The black stainless steel matches my other appliances from another brand perfectly. The fan is quite powerful and the dual led lights are amazingly bright and make cooking on the stovetop so much better. It hasn’t been installed long enough to evaluate the longevity or the efficiency of the filters or how easy they are to clean, but considering their size and placement I don’t foresee any problems..
