I was shopping for a counter-top microwave because the one over my stove fell apart and the size I need to replace it is very high price. I just wanted a cheaper one to use until I replace the rest of the appliances in my kitchen. Big problem is I have a very small kitchen and very little room to fit in a countertop one. I was shopping for this microwave based on it's dimensions only and then I noticed this one was 1000W and cu. feet bigger than the rest of them, so it won it. Fits my space. I've had my new microwave for three weeks. So far I love it. Easy to use. Food is heated as I needed. Used the potato button yesterday and it was great. This is my second GE microwave. My first just died one day after 14 years. My appliance company recommended this model and it was on sale, so even better. I recommend dealing with a local appliance store as they kept records my previous purchases and knew what would fit in my kitchen. Their prices were better than the big box stores.
