It was easy to add this fan to a location where a porch light was no longer needed. I purchased a 3 way switch and connected inside so that we can change the speed with a wall switch. I did not add any additional wiring, so it does not oscillate. However, it is mounted in a 9x9 ft space, so that is not a problem. It is very comparable in sound and pressure to the same desk top fan that I use in my bedroom. Great outdoor fan! It was very easy to install so simple that it only took my husband about five minutes. I really like that it comes with a remote, so I don’t have to reach behind it to adjust the settings. It works perfectly and looks great in our backyard.
