See GE Appliances Refrigeration in a whole new light, literally! Our redesigned Side-by-Side now incorporates LED Light Walls that illuminate the fridge and freezer, so you can see it all and find it fast. Models also include an extra tall, 11-inch water dispenser, so there’s no more tilting and spilling just to get your favorite water bottle to fit. Got this GE fridge to replace an old GE Profile that finally died. Loved that fridge! This is level down, due to not wanting to spend so much money. It was delivered today, so not sure about the actual function. Few things though that your engineers or designers should think about. My husband is very handy and decided to hookup the water line himself. Problem is the piece that you have to insert the copper water line to is very short, and initially leaked. Also, on door with water/ice, the shelf maybe should have a well built there to catch dripping water or any excess ice. Just 2 initial thoughts so far. I'm hoping to love this one as much as I did my old one... we'll have to see. Quick update: yes, you need to add a well or lip to ice/water fixture. I went to try out the ice 2 days later, it grinned for at least a minute before actually dispensing ice, then it shot out like a bat. Had ice all over the floor due to my glass not being able to hold the amount dispensed. I'm not sure what the problem or answer is.. Lucypearl289. New Jersey. Fri Aug 21 2026

It’s a nice fridge. But I assumed wrongly that the water dispenser would be a door-in-door feature to minimize cooling loss while filling. I love this counter depth refrigerator. We received it a few weeks later than originally scheduled, but it was better than not getting it at all. Thanks goodness for Wayfair! This is, by far, the best refrigerator I have ever had. And that’s saying a lot because I’ve had a bunch of them. I went with this bottle because my wonderful dogs had figured out how to get ice and water out of my old refrigerators. This is fantastic.
