Once it was installed, I connected the range to the SmartThings app. The app was able to connect the range right away thru my wifi. And once connected, It automatically set the time for me. The app is a great feature when you want to control the temperature, cooking modes, oven light and sounds from your phone. You can even have it sent notifications when the cooktop elements are on. However, your phone may ping often if you do a lot of cooking on the stove top. Also, what I really like about this range, is the precision knobs. My husband and I like the use of knobs for stove top cooking. And I definitely enjoy the air fry feature, which by the way came with a free basket for air frying. Also, with a convection oven such as this, baking would be faster and even. Also, the range uses circulated air when you’re roasting to cook the meat evenly. You can’t go wrong with this range.. Nearly 5 year update... I still LOVE LOVE LOVE this range! The wifi feature allows me to start the oven while on my way home from the grocery store, cook baked potatoes left inside it or preheat from the hammock in the backyard. I don't love the air fry feature, I still use a different one. I bought a newer version of this range than a friend had and recommended and am so glad I did. Oven was received and had damaged edges that were broken, I contacted the help desk and was told to contact GE , the oven was ordered from Wayfair and payment was made to Wayfair not GE.
