The bunk bed looks great all set up and feels sturdy! The stained finish looks great! I do think the beds are darker in person than what the picture shows but I like them! The set up went well. There were a couple of pieces that were not labeled but it was not difficult to determine which ones were which. Well made and easy to assemble. Not the most stable bunk bed we’ve ever owned, but it is enough for an older kidteen who won’t be jumping on it. Relatively easy install, just took time. Solid construction. There is a metal bar that runs under top bunk, that I purchased pipe foam insulation to cover it as I knew it was just a matter of time before a child hit there head really hard on it. While solid wood, it does indent/mark easily, I have two rambunctious boys who quickly put multiple dents in it and cracked the wood where the ladder attaches by pulling up on the ladder, but probably sonething similar would happen with any bed that we got!.
